Detailed Description: Git is an free version control system that was initially released in 2005. In 2008, GitHub launched a web-based Git with all the distributed version control and source code management functionality of Git. In April 2017, GitHub ballooned to 20 million users with 57 million repositories. This 1-hour workshop will walk you through installation of Git, creation of a GitHub account, definition of terms, utilization of version control features and best practices for teamwork on GitHub. Participants should bring their own devices.
