Detailed Description: Can you show a movie in class? Can you distribute copies of a newspaper article? What are you allowed to post on your Sakai site? What about your students’ work or their online postings? This workshop focuses on copyright issues in both the physical and online classroom. Participants will learn about the four factors of fair use, application of the TEACH Act to online teaching, and utilization of print and digital resources in their classes. Also, participants will learn how the library can help with electronic reserves and links to subscription materials. This one-hour workshop is intended for teaching faculty, instructors and graduate assistants.
